A recent article by Swissinfo discusses crowdfunding for science projects and, more specifically, the "Crowdfunding Festival". The event was organized by Mike Schäfer from the University of Zurich and Luc Henry and Mirko Bischofberger from the crowdfunding platform wemakeit in their function as co-founders of ScienceBooster.
