Funding for DOCA from the UZH Digital Society Initiative (DSI)

Sabrina H. Kessler, Daniela Mahl, and Linards Udris have received funding from the DSI Community Digital Publics to further develop DOCA – the Database of Variables for Content Analysis. The digital open-access Database of Variables for Content Analysis (DOCA) is a research infrastructure that collects, systematizes, and evaluates operationalizations for standardized manual content analyses. By providing access to validated variables and complete codebooks, DOCA enables transparent, comparable, and high-quality research. The funded project aims to (1) expand DOCA with entries specifically focused on automated content analysis and (2) align this expansion with the goals of the DSI Community Digital Publics, which explores how digital technologies shape public communication and participation.
