This field of research is devoted to issues such as the navigation and selection in hypertext media with special focus on the processes of web-based information search and retrieval. Additionally, we study the diffusion and appropriation of online media and communication technologies (e.g., mobile phones, SMS, and computer games). Finally, our research looks at the effects of inter-media choice processes on the competition between traditional and innovative media (e.g., print and online news).
