Johanna Beutel has been a Research and Teaching Associate in the Media & Internet Governance Division at the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ) since September 2026. She holds an MA and a BA in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz and an MSc in European Governance from Utrecht University. Her current research interests include the regulation of disinformation, the governance of bots and algorithms, as well as democracy and political polarization.
