Digital Health Communication

The Digital Health Communication division, led by Dr. Lara Kobilke, studies how digital communication and emerging technologies influence health-related attitudes, decisions, and behaviors, with a focus on resistance to persuasion, the effects of health-related social media challenges on behavior change, and the role of artificial intelligence in health communication.

The devision aims to connect communication theory with technological innovation by developing advanced methods and research infrastructures for health communication. We are especially interested in integrating AI into methodological tools, thereby contributing to future-oriented health communication research.
